Local heroes!

Well bravo to local coffee chain The Boston Tea Party! Even though it substantially affected their sales, they've made a stand on single use plastic, not only cups but all their milk cartons too.

With 5 branches in Bristol, and their reach spreading to other towns, it's a very good reason to patronise them over the other great behemoth chains.
Re-usable cups are now readily available (if you're in Clifton Village, support Smaller Footprints on Regent Street) and most drinks outlets will give you a standard 25p off your drink of choice if you present one. My bamboo one travels with me everywhere so I never get caught out.

Here at Chandos Clinic we have been using cardboard water cups for over a year now. We then recycle them, although Barbara has been using them to grow seedlings in her polytunnel!

Gutsy!

The benefits of fermented foods on our gut flora are becoming increasingly evident. If you want to know more, and also support a wonderful local venue: The Forge in Colston Yard, do look at this link, and mark your diaries for Thurs May 23rd.
