New Begining

Hi I'm Bronwyn, the Massage and Reiki therapist here at Chandos. It's Monday morning and my first day on the reception desk. I have talken over from Jackie and will be on reception Mondays and Tuesdays.  I hope everyone will be patient as I learn the ropes!

New Receptionist

Welcome to Brony , Brony will be taking over from Jackie on reception as from next Monday.

KIDS DRAWING COMPETITION

The Chandos Clinic is having a childrens christmas drawing competition, to enter please collect a drawing sheet from our reception  draw, a christmas scene of your choice and hand back to reception. The winner will be contacted on Weds 19th December    GOOD LUCK

Alex Prince

Osteopath Alex Prince  is also committed to his professional development and has just completed a First aid course last weekend .

Giles in Stockholm

"Goodbye" & " Welcome"

It is with sadness that we are saying goodbye to Violette Aubry.
Violette has worked as an Osteopath at the clinic for the last four years treating both adults and Children. We would like to thank Violette and wish her all the best .
We would also like to say a big welcome to Xavier who has now joined the Chandos team and will be taking over the care of many of Violettes patients as well as his own.

New Osteopath

Xavier qualified as an osteopath in France where he practised in Marseille. He has also worked in the premature baby unit of the city hospital alongside Paediatricians, Doctors and Physiotherapists dealing with complex and difficult cases.
He is also the co-founder of an Osteopathy Association helping disadvantaged people.
Xavier is experienced in using musculoskeletal, Cranial and visceral techniques in treating Adults and Children.
He has recently moved to the UK and has joined the Chandos Clinic working Mondays, Wednesdays and alternate Saturdays

Parking restrictions

The parking restrictions on Chandos Road are now in force. Parking opposite the clinic is now limmited  to 2 hours with no return  within 1 hour.  This should benefit our patients when visiting the Clinic as these parking spaces where often used by many for all day parking .  

Anne Brunton

At the weekend our theapist Anne Brunton attended a workshop in advanced Bowen Techniques she passed both her theory and practical assessments which means she is now an Advanced Bowen practitioner..... congratulations Anne

REIKI LEVEL 1 WORKSHOP

BUPA

Unfortunately BUPA are insisting that Osteopaths tender for their referals and are inposing unrealistic caps on the fees they will pay for their members treatment. We have been encouraged by the British Osteopath Association to resign 'en masse' from BUPA on 13th July & will thereafter be unable to treat BUPA patients. Please see the petition on http://www.save-osteopathy-on-bupa.org/ if this will effect you & sign the petition.

CHANGE OF HOURS

As from 2nd July 2012 Violette Aubry and Alex Prince will be changing the days they work at the Chandos Clinic.
Violette will no longer be working on a Monday instead she will be available for appointments on Wednesday afternoons and  between 10am and 3pm on a Saturday. Alex prince will now be available for appointments on a Monday Afternoon and a Wednesday morning.We hope this will give more flexibility to their  patients.  

Giles is going on a "Short sabbatical"

Giles will be away  from the 16th July  until the 10th September .
In his absence we have appointed a locum osteopath Xavier Decup. Xavier  is very experienced and has practised mostly in France . Xavier will be at the Chandos clinic on a Monday and Wednesday.

PARKING RESTRICTIONS

The Highways services have started painting the markings for Parking restictions on Chandos Road, These restrictions have not yet been put into action but once they have we hope our patients will find it easier to park when they visit the clinic. We will keep you updated on this.

Paediatric level 1 in Bristol

Giles recently ran a paediatrics level 1 course here in Bristol. The course was a big success with 18 students attending from all over the UK. The course was also supported with a presentation from colleauge Barbara Moulang Another course (Paediatrics level 2)has been arranged for 9th-11th November at Engineers House Bristol. Barbara teaching in Antwerp

Barbara moulang Osteopath at the Chandos Clinic is looking forward to going to Antwerp to help teach on a course in the introduction to Paediatrics this course will take place on the 23rd and 24th March

Reiki workshop

Our reiki master Bronwyn Ward held her first Reiki workshop last Sunday. Everyone was really tired by the end of the day but all thoroughly enjoyed it and are looking forward to practicing their new skills

Giles is teaching in Denmark

Giles is in Denmark teaching from friday 2nd March - sunday 4th March paediatric level 1.This course discusses the unique role treatment can play in pregnancy and postpartum issues, for the mother and baby.Academic areas covered here, are connected to the neonatal period to nine months of age. Last week Barbara Moulang (osteopath) revisited the phase 7 Biodynamic Osteopathy course run by Christian Sullivan in somerset. Barbara went to observe and participate as a "spare body" for practical sessions.
