Tomorrow, June 21st, is International Yoga Day.

Events are happening across the country, and in Bristol it's at Castle Park.

Wherever you practise, we wish you

"Clear and loving thoughts" (hands in prayer to your forehead)
"Clear and loving communications" (hands in prayer to your mouth)
"Clear and loving intentions" (hands in prayer to your heart space)

Namaste.

Problems with poo!

Most of you know that Barbara is passionate about her allotment. You may even have seen the proud photos of her newly erected polytunnel! Sadly and seriously, her peas, beans and potatoes have been severely blighted, and on investigation, it transpires it is almost certainly from a herbicide added to straw fed to livestock, which provided the horse / cow manure she added to her soil. If you have suffered the same to your own vegetables, this may well be the cause. Securing your manure from an organic accredited source would be wise. Barbara is trying to get more information from DOW, but in the meantime, would be grateful for any signatures to the petition below.
I just signed the petition "Dow Chemical: Ban DOW Chemical AMINOPYRALID herbicides in UK" and wanted to see if you could help by adding your name.

Our goal is to reach 1,500 signatures and we need more support. You can read more and sign the petition here:

South Bristol Community Hospital

Over the weekend, a friend was buffeted between her GP and the BRI A&E department, both of them unable or unwilling to help her. Desperate, and in search of alternative care, she found the South Bristol Community Hospital. She said their standard of care was exemplary and she couldn't praise them more highly.
To my shame, I didn't even know it existed, so this is to spread the word. Hopefully you will never need hospital assistance, but if you do, this is certainly a place of calm and efficiency in the storm.

The new kid on the block (around the corner)

We frequently have patients coming through our door who are a wealth of local reveals and inspiration. Therefore I would like to give a huge hurrah and plug to the recently opened Max Minerva's bookshop on North View in Henleaze. Being a Cliftonwooder, I rarely venture that far, but bookshops everywhere should be applauded so do give them your custom and look out for their live events.
