Hygiene Poverty. From food banks to beauty banks.
When I watched the film "I, Daniel Blake", I thought one of the most harrowing parts was when the young mother went to the food bank and quietly asked if they had any sanitary products. They did not. Now, there is a new enterprise, Beauty Banks, which makes this possible, and not just for sanitary products but all the essential toiletries that most of us take for granted such as soap and toothpaste.
