Davina's return and 2 Bristol life-lines.
We do hope you all survived the snow last week, short-lived as it was. Happily we managed to remain open on Friday and see all the patients who were able to reach us.
Davina has now returned from Australia and is back at the clinic. She looks forward to greeting all her patients. Sadly we have had to say farewell to her exceptional locum, Kerry. It was a pleasure having her at our practise.
Barbara has brought The Harbour, an admirable Bristol-based charity to my attention, who in turn was told about it from one of her patients, who said what an incredible source of support it had been during her bereavement.

My local tip is Smaller Footprints, a recent addition to Regent St on the edge of Clifton Village. It's a green packaging-free independent shop run by Grant and Hazel. I can vouch that all the produce is incredibly fresh and significantly cheaper than supermarket prices. The dried goods range is vast and being added to all the time; Grant is always happy to try and source requests if there's something they do not stock. All toiletries and cleaning products are available. Likewise oils, vinegars, make-your-own peanut butter, local Bristol honey, and maple syrup. I like the fact that customers are constantly arriving with a whole inventory of there own containers to re-fill. My favourite was a gentleman re-using a glass gin bottle for washing-up liquid!
